Schedule

DAY 1 (…) – Can Tho - Long Xuyen (D)

15:00-16:00. Meet us at Victoria Can Tho Resort and board the Victoria Mekong at the Port in Can Tho, the beating heart of the Mekong Delta. As the ship cruises towards Long Xuyen, watch the sunset over the Hau River, sundowner in hand.

As day turns into night, enjoy a traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music performance known as don ca tai tu, followed by a Vietnamese dinner buffet to officially welcome you aboard your Victoria Mekong Cruise. Overnight near Long Xuyen.

DAY 2 (…) – Long Xuyen - Tiger Island - Vam Nao - Tan Chau (B/L/D)

After breakfast tender ashore to visit the authentic Long Xuyen Floating Market and the An Giang Traditions Museum, with fascinating exhibits on Vietnamese, Chinese, Khmer and Cham cultures in the region. During lunch the ship sails on before anchoring near Tiger Island.

Head ashore by sampan and explore Tiger Island by “xe loi”, visiting a wood carver and cottage industries such as net weaving and incense makers. Visit a pagoda locally known as “Mr. Tiger’s Temple”, hear the story that won the island its name. Delta. Return on board in time for dinner and the evening’s entertainment as the ship continues cruising to Tan Chau where we overnight.

DAY 3 (…) – Tan Chau - No cruise (B/L/D)

Enjoy breakfast before heading by sampan to the shore where you will then board a local rickshaw to a silk village to witness all the labor-intensive steps to producing this fine textile, including the use of natural dyes made from tree bark, leaves and fruit.

After lunch on board, visit more Mekong Delta attractions, including floating fish farms and a Taoist Temple where you can get your fortune told. There is also an option to travel by speedboat to Chau Doc to see the submerged forest of Tra Su, known for its abundant bird life and picturesque mangroves. Return to the ship in time for a traditional Vietnamese lion dance, followed by dinner and the evening’s entertainment. Overnight near Tan Chau.

DAY 4 (…) – Tan Chau - Phnom Penh (B/L/D)

As the ship begins cruising towards the Vietnam-Cambodia border, start the day with an early yoga session on the Sky Deck or by the Infinity Pool, followed by a leisurely breakfast in the restaurant.

After, select from the many on-board activities including a ship’s tour, cocktail competition, a food carving demonstration, a mini-golf tournament, or simply enjoy the scenery as we sail on towards Phnom Penh and cross the border between Vietnam and Cambodia. We arrive late afternoon in the charming capital of Phnom Penh, once known as the “Pearl of the Orient” for its French colonial buildings, tree-lined boulevards and scenic river walk.

Before the farewell dinner, take in a lively performance of Khmer Apsara dancing with the opportunity to meet the performers afterward. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

DAY 5 (…) – Phnom Penh - Disembarkation (B)

Enjoy a final breakfast on board before disembarking at Sisowath Quay, Phnom Penh’s downtown riverside promenade. End of our Services.

Service Terms And Condition

Booking & Payment

A deposit of 30% of the total invoice is required in order to confirm all our services
Balance of payment is due no later than 60 days prior to your departure date. Failure to pay by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking
If booking is made less than 60 days prior to departure, full payment is required at time of reservation.
Payment can be made by cash, telegraphic/electronic transfer or credit card (Visa, Master and American Express card)
Fees applied for telegraphic/electronic transfers or surcharges applied for credit card banking (3%) should be covered by the client
Once full payment has been received, you will be issued with a final voucher of services and related tour documentation sent by e-mail or fax no later than two weeks prior to your home departure

Cancellation terms and conditions: Cancellation charges will be applied as follows:

More than 180 days before start of the tour date: no cancellation charge
180 days to 61 days before start of the tour date: loss of deposit (30% of total amount)
60 days to 31 days before start of the tour date: 50% of total costs
Less than 30 days or no-show: 100% of total costs

Cancellation by The Ship (bad weather)

Before departure (none of the services have been used): 100% refund.
During the trip (some services have been used: transfer, lunch, day trip) used services will be charged, the rest will be refunded.
The final cost will be confirmed via email.

Amendment policy:

1/ Change of departure date or change of cabin type (downgrading from higher to lower category) allowed with the following conditions:

At least 181 days before departure: no penalty
Between 180 and 60 days before: a penalty equivalent to 30% of total cost per person will apply
60 days to 31 days: a penalty equivalent to 50% of total cost per person will apply
No change allowed within 30 days from departure

2/ Other changes:

Change of passenger names within 30 days of departure will be subject to a $US25 penalty (or its equivalent in VND) amendment charge per passenger
No amendment charge for the upgrading of cabins to a higher category in the same itinerary, difference between original and prevailing rate will be charged
No amendment charge for additional passengers within the same cabin, charged at original rates
For any split-off and new cabins, the new cabin will be considered as new booking at prevailing rates

Passenger Data: In order to conform to the local regulations and to provide the best level of service, Victoria Mekong cruise requires to receive passenger data and details 30 days before Departure.

Do I Need Travel Insurance for Vietnam?

Yes, all visitors to Vietnam must be covered by a minimum of travel medical insurance with a liability of US$10,000 or more for COVID-19 treatment. A more robust travel insurance policy for a trip to Vietnam is optional, but highly recommended due to the unpredictable nature of international travel.

Although the only travel insurance legally required to visit Vietnam is the medical coverage related to COVID-19, there are many other aspects of a trip overseas that can quickly become costly if things go awry. Travel insurance for Vietnam can be a great asset in unexpected situations, lessening the financial burden on a traveler in an emergency or otherwise difficult situation.

Vietnam trip insurance can include a variety of coverages designed to assist travelers in unforeseen situations. Travelers may choose between plans that offer specific coverage for their unique concerns, which may include airline delays or disruptions, sudden illness or injury while abroad, trip cancellation, and much more. These coverages do vary by plan, so be sure to review your policy carefully before purchasing.

Is Travel Health Insurance covering Covid-19 mandatory to enter Vietnam?

Yes. Travel Health Insurance covering Covid-19 is mandatory. To enter Vietnam, you must show evidence of health or travel insurance that covers COVID-related medical care up to a minimum of US$10,000 for the duration of your visit. Failure to produce this may result in being refused entry to the country.

Vietnamese Covid-19 policy for foreigners to entry Vietnam.

Under the latest regulations, foreign arrivals travelling to Viet Nam by air shall be required to take a RT-PCR or RT-LAMP COVID-19 test within 72 hours or a rapid test within 24 hours before departure. This requirement is not applicable to children under two years of age.

The above requirement shall also be applied to those who wish to enter Viet Nam by road or by sea, or they can take a COVID-19 test at the port of entry.

Incoming air passengers shall no longer be obliged to take a COVID-19 or follow mandatory quarantine requirement after arriving in Viet Nam.

All incoming entrants shall be required to fill health declaration form at the website tokhaiyte.vn prior to their departure and download PC-COVID app.

Medical Surveillance

Within 10 days since the date of entry, entrants shall self-monitor their health and immediately notify the nearest medical facilities if they experience such symptoms like fever, cough, throat pain, runny nose, chills, headaches.

Entrants have to regularly wear masks and disinfect hands.

Insurance and COVID-19 treatment

Mandatory insurance coverage amount for COVID-19 treatment shall be at least US$10,000.

Incoming travellers shall have to pay for COVID-19 test and treatment and related costs (if any).
